Baby Panda is the solo vehicle of Paul Gonzenbach, better known as the frontman (vocals, guitar, piano, songwriting) of Absolutely Kosher's The Jim Yoshii Pile-up from Oakland, CA.
Enforcer is his debut album, released recently; and from what I have heard thus far, it amalgamates shoegaze, prog rock, drone pop, blues. What've You Been Up To, which is kind of the carrier track for now, should give you a good idea of that nice syrupy mix.This other track is the one I am loving muchly. Moggers, Kevin Decline deserves 5:10 minutes of your time.The album features a gorgeous cover of Angel, Angel, Down We Go Together by Morrissey, which I urge everyone to play in open air on a windyish night at the rooftop (or 16th floor balcony) of your apartment.
