I really enjoyed this. The sequence has a smooth order. Almost all these are new to me. The Excellos seem to be invoking the sound of Papa Lightfoot's vocal distortion from the early 1950s. The Frizzell item is a happy treat; I'd totally forgotten it. In the 1970s when I came upon Otis Redding's song, I thought, "The song sounds good, but no way I'm going to try either vice, for health reasons," though I actually hadn't heard anything very bad about coffee. Two years ago I started experimenting with it and am now up to two cups a day. You must use a word search procedure to assemble these cool word playlists. annieander seems to have pioneered the term "the jacopetti effect"; was he the director of the film Mondo Cane?
Yes..the itunes or MOg All Access make title searches easy...glad you liked Spike...it's a little different from the original mix..maybe better although I had a much better version of Burnt toast and Black Coffee.
I also came to coffee late, not drinking it regular til my 30's..I'm hooked now.
I'm your host, Linda Richman. The number is 555-4444. Welcome to "Coffee Talk". Give us a call, we'll talk - no big whoop. Nice playlist, "Coffee Cold" ( a favorite) by Oh No might be a nice addition, it's hip hop but very smooth like my favorite cup a' joe (taste of Austin at central market).
Absolutely Nate..the original list had the tune Coffee cold (Galt MacDermot)..not in the system though. I bet Oh No sampled it though.
OK, added Coffee Cold..
Oh No did sample the Galt MacDermot,Fergus Macroy song..here tis,lad..;)
And the instrumental
