Gee thanks, powers that be @ all things MOG, for featuring the first P/L from this series, I guess I can no longer wallow in obscurity... Dang! Today's effort features the type of a make-it-up-as-you-go-along P/L that I used to do on KALX, Berkeley. Back then, it was considered cheating to pick out any song beyond the NEXT ONE, as a result. a P/L would gather its own momentum, or not... Nowadays, P/Ls are written by computers, which is all fine and dandy, but they're rather predictable, no? Oops! I lied, I've already made 3 changes, and I will probably make more before the day is over... So many times in the past, I would listen to my 'air check' tape and get all frustrated b/c I'd think of the perfect segue after the fact. (It's similar to when you think of the perfect comeback, two seconds after you slam down the phone... Wait a minute... I just realized another reason why cell phones suck... if you 'slam 'em down', they just break... Pushing down a red button, no matter emphatically, just doesn't activate the endorphins like smacking a receiver onto its cradle. It was more satisfying than slamming a door. "Fuck You? No! FUCK YOU!!!!" SLAM!!!!! Ahhhhh! I feel much better now... (Talk about 'stream of unconsciousness', there was one right there... what fun... Please excuse my 'French'...) Stay tuned BTW for '6 Star' Reviews 3 - Blog 5... I'm working on it right now... Don't worry, I'll slow down the output fairly soon, but you know what they say: "Strike while the iron is hot!" It also helps to be on vacation while under doctor's orders to stay in the house until the tumor biopsy results* come in... One more thing, the non-sequitor, "Manic Depression" is included as it was my favorite song when I was 12... Mom wouldn't let me go to the concert though, she thought those darn hippies were going to shove needles into my arm. It was so nice a couple of years ago when the very same concert I missed came out on DVD! The mystery was solved... Jimi kicked ass despite the fact he was stoned out of his F--k'in mind. J Myers
