This label has kept me riveted since I first learned about J Dilla, and started listening to his collaborative album with Madlib entitled "Champion Sound". Peanut Butter Wolf's work with Charizma was some of my favorite early bay area hip-hop as well, before the tragic death of the latter in December of 1993 abruptly ended his career. Once I realized how widely incorporated Dilla was with all of the best rap artists out of the 90's, my interest grew exponentially as I hope it will with you if you haven't heard the album "Donuts" yet. An album that Kanye West, Pharrell Williams and countless other artists amorously hailed to be a work of the best producer that hip-hop had ever seen.
