Thanks for sharing your favorite songs, great list.
thanks man!
wow, thanks!
This playlist made for a nice afternoon musically, thanks V V.
thanks! i was going to make a playlist called why i hate hip hop and put alot of hip hop songs on it, but now i'd feel really guilty if i did that
Yeah that would be lame. In fact you should check out my Why I like Hip Hop playlist, you won't like all the songs but I'd bet a dollar you find a few you like. What MOG, and Lala before, have taught me is you can hear some amazing music in the most unexpected places.
yeah, i really hate to admit it, but i do like Mos Def and Nappy Roots a little bit. And Cee-lo is probably the most talented young singer alive for my money, but i still can't get into hip hop. Its just not deep music for me.
I can understand, it's like so many genres in that you have to dig deep for the good stuff. Some recent favorites with some really good tracks are Blackroc (The Black Keys working with various rappers), Mos Def's newest one, Dessa's album ( a personal favorite), Astronautilus's Pomegranate, Talib Kweli and DJ High Tek's new Revolutions per minute, Lupe Fiasco's Food and Liquor, and a few more. I can understand why people don't dig hip hop based off what plays on the radio but for my money some of the most creative artist are in hip hop (Questlove, RJD2, Dangermouse, and I( hate to say it because dudes insanely conceited) Kanye West.Oh, and The Roots are amazing, their new album should be really good.
enjoyed it thoroughly, thanks for sharing!
Thanks Bilboboone, I still follow your album ratings
