For everything revealed, something's concealed.
And for everything concealed, something's revealed.

Did you really get to listen? This looks like another winner..
thanks, MCB. nah. i tried to check Heart Cooks Brain 'cuz it wasn't in the Modest Mouse database (the horror!) but i found it off a label sampler, strangely.
i realized just now that i can rate playlists. no licensing issues there, huh? (8 so there's that.
uh huh...that made the afternoon fly by! you should be making a profit at this...
i wouldn't but i'm sure i could use it. heh.
the playlist had Meanest Man Contest's Some People (Just Get Off on Breaking Hearts) originally, which, as slogans go, is far catchier (and so is the tune, in comparison).
of all those tracks, the MMC caught my attention, 'cause at first I thought it was (your intro'd) DeBruit. My brief investigation took it back to members of Jim Yoshii's Pile Up, which - as I remember - leads sideways to Baby Panda?? Which I would buy if I could find. did my homework OK??
Scott, whoah. If I'm correct, half of MMC did work with DeBruit once, and the other half, as you say, comes from Jim Yoshii. Odd coincidence: Baby Panda is in one of my upcoming playlists.
The awesome thing about the duo is how they've managed to merge lo-fi rock and hip hop/electronic, owing to their own backgrounds.
While I have your attention, this may be a good time to ask-- what's up with the linked / non-linked song entries in playlists? I thought non-linked means it can't be played?
I try to pay attention. Certainly hear the Debruit similarity in "There's Nothing There", so you vindicate my ears. I see I'm able to find the Baby Panda myspace now with a few more tracks and label/purchase links - used to be, all I could find was a stupid baby panda hiccuping on youtube. It seemed to fascinate a lot of folks, eh. Will be looking forward to your post!
It seems the MOG songbase is ever expanding and improving. At first, I noticed what you mentioned, that the non-linked songs just get skipped in the playlist. But lately, the rule seems to be if it's got a black play button, it's there...there was not one selection in your playlist that I could not enjoy.
A baby panda hic- ? Wha- ? Whe- ? Never mind, I don't want to know. 3)
(Thanks for the answer!)
