In a star-studded event billed as 'Rock to Win', well-known artists are stepping up for gay rights this week at the Democratic National Committee Convention. The Human Rights Campaign, the largest gay rights group in the U.S., aims to use music to further equality for the gay, bisexual, lesbian and transgender community. In addition to Grammy-winning songwriter Melissa Etheridge, AIDS awareness advocate Thelma Houston, Canadian songwriter Rufus Wainwright, and the always colorful Cyndi Lauper are slated to perform.
