Bollywood: "Singh" Is Box-Office King ... and Snoop Dogg Is in on It!

Since I downloaded the soundtrack album of the brand-new Bollywood blockbuster "Singh Is Kinng" at emusic.com, I keep listening to the funky title track featuring Snoop Dogg, the London-based Bhangra trio R.D.B., and the star of the movie, Akshay Kumar.
You can check it out here:
Here's an article on the movie I posted at Last.FM:
According to the Times of India, "Singh Is Kinng" - the new Anees Bazmee movie starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif is rewriting box-office history. On its first weekend (August 8-10, 2008), ticket sales amounted to Rs 28 crore (US-$6.6 million). According to ToI, "this has supposedly surpassed the two other mega-flicks which saw an unprecedented initial hoopla, Om Shanti Om with Rs 26 crore and Dhoom 2 with Rs 24 crore as their opening weekend collections".
I saw the movie yesterday - it's a highly enjoyable goofball gangster comedy (a remake of the 1989 Jackie Chan movie "Miracles"). I collected links to several reviews: Rediff, Times of India, Bollywood Hungama.
The soundtrack is noteworthy as well: It features none other than Snoop Dogg which makes it the first collaboration between a U.S. music star and Bollywood. (Check out the New York Times article "India's New Partnership: Bollywood and Hip-Hop").
You can legally download the soundtrack at emusic (here's some info on the shop). I have it on heavy rotation since yesterday!
The original Hindi version currently is "on tour" in Germany (until August 19, 2008). Check out this page for details.

God I love Bollywood. That's would be my ideal Friday night with some aloo gobi take-out.

@pinkertonwasbetter: "Singh Is Kinng" should be seen (and its soundtrack should be enjoyed!) in a real movie theater ... ;-)
"What up to all the ladies hangin' out in Mumbai," indeed....
