Well, mine was the Bee Gees with 'Got to get a Message to You' or 'Do It Again' by the Beach Boys' in the UK - depending on what chart you look at, and 'People Got to be Free' by the Rascals in the US. My favourite song by the Long Blondes is that 'Giddy Startospheres' or whatever it's called. If you like that, you may like a band called Miaow. Led by one Cath Carroll, they only did three singles and a Peel session, but all of these songs can be found on the CD 'When It All Comes Down' (LTM), which I think is rather good.
