According to Velvet Revolver's bassist, Duff McKagen, Royston Langdon will not be singing for the band anytime soon. Although reports stated that Langdon was indeed collaborating with the band and that all signs pointed to them hitting it off, McKagen said "I'd have to say no" when asked if Langdon would be fronting the band. In a recent interview with Billboard.com, McKagen has made it clear that this time around they "just have to make sure it's the right guy." He also said that the band wants to take their time in finding a their newest member and that their troublesome split with Scott Weiland is providing some "killer" material for their new album.
