Brisbane gig Feb 06
On a rare visit to Brisbane 25 Feb 2006 Ian Rilen & the Love Addicts played to a "crowd" of almost 30 at Souths Leagues Club, West End, Brisbane. An unfortunate choice of venue. This didn't seem to bother Rilen he was delighted to chat among the crowd before being coaxed onto stage by the others in the band. These days it's passion that's driving Rilen, or maybe it's the booze to blame.

No more smoking at gigs
With new antismoking laws introduced last weekend venues are now filled with "fresh" air - it doesn't seem to have had the negative effect on numbers showing up at gigs as feared by venue managers. How long before someone makes some "eau de ashtray" perfume that compliments spilled drinks in clothes and hair so punters staggering home can still smell like they've been to a gig?
