Backing up after the loud Radio Birdman and the happy Vegas Kings gigs it was time for a different pace on Sunday afternoon at the East Brisbane Bowls Club. We were treated to reformed bands not seen for 20+ years in support of one of the band members, John, who is living in a nursing home due to to an unfortunate work accident. Yes, it would be awful living with a crowd of dying people in their 70s and 80s - period.A spirit of community was alive among the crowd consisting of faces and figures from the past presenting their well lived and at times abused selves at this gig. A speech from Senator Bartlett was out of whack for my liking.
