So I love Phish lore and following the fans, as we create a language all our own. We have our own culture and it's a hard egg to crack unless you've been apart of the scene for a while. Well, I came across one of the newest phishism's and wanted to share it will all of you, as if you're like me you'll find it pretty funny. It's called getting TTE'd. I overheard in a Phish chatroom tonight two phans discussing if MSG will get TTE'd and how awful that would be and then it occured to me that they are talking about "Time Turns Elastic", the new epic of a song, written by Trey and on their newest album JOY. This summer it got the nick name "time to take a pee break", and it's not that it's a bad song, but it's so well structured that it leaves little if any room for improv. It is what it is and you know what you're gonna get, 15 minutes of the same...so that's why it's a perfect bathroom break song, for those who don't care to hear it. Personally, I love it...They lyrics, the winding road, the 80'sesq sound effects at about 4:30 minutes into it. So maybe I am a Submarine, and I want my shows to get TTE'd, or rather I don't mind if they do, but it's not on my top 10, nix that top 100 favorite Phish song list, but now you know what it means, have you gotten TTE'd, a lot of did this Summer, shoot, I've been TTE'd twice in 4 four shows. Funny, so funny.
