Jonny Greenwood Radiohead's lead guitarist releases CD based on his love for reggae music, The CD will be called Jonny Greenwood is the Controller and is expected to be released on March 6th, 2007. The CD is said to be rich with Jamaican sounds and styles. A fervent fan of reggae music Jonny worked closely with Trojan Records and was given full access to their legendary catalog. He said that after 6 months of almost nonstop listing he has finally been able to narrow it down to 17 tracks. The CD will feature renowned vocalists, musicians and producers including Desmond Dekker, Lee Perry, Gregory Isaacs, Sly & Robbie, King Tubby and Scientist. The track list is as follows…..

Hmmm. When I first saw this I thought it would be Jonny Greenwood actually playing reggae. So I was a little disappointed that it is just a mix CD. However, these are all great tracks, so it will make for a nice intro disc for Radiohead fans who don't know much about reggaae.
