Morton Valence - Chandelier

London based Morton Valence have this single out. I like it; it's croonie and smells of the olden days. Just the way I like it. Check out their myspace on http://www.myspace.com/mortonvalence

Kaizers Orchestra - Ompa til du dør (Live)

Kaizers Orchestra is a Norwegian rock band that sounds like oil, blood, vodka and eastern European fighting spirit. It's not too hard, and even romantic sometimes. This song title translates to something like 'Ompa till you die'. Enjoy.

Beirut - Brazil (Cover)

I went to see Beirut perform at the Roundhouse in Camden, London, last Saturday. The crowd were swaying from side to side and the trumpets were roaring through the venue. It was brilliant. They didn't, however, play this song.

The Enright House - Darkwave MC Squared

Stumbled across this band from New Zealand. They sound like a cross between Sigur Ros and The Postal Service. They have an Album out called 'A Maze and Amazement' which I haven't heard but I really like this track. Points goes to New Zealand.

Kaada - Mainstreaming

Norwegian Kaada has never failed to amaze me with their musical escapades. Their songs (apart from the Patton session) have always had a cinematic quality to them. Their latest album 'Music For Moviebikers' projects calm and melodic tunes and makes you wish there was a movie to go alongside it.

Swedish Timbuktu - Pure Live Gold

Timbuktu - Strö Lite Socker På Mig

For anyone who's never heard of Timbuktu he's a Swedish rapper with a lovely acoustic feel. Sorry to all non-Swedish speaking people, just enjoy the funk of it.
