I'm a guitarist but man if MB isn't one of my favorite soloists/improvisers. I'm doing all I can to play like that as best as the guitar will allow. Beautiful compositions on this record, I just love the feel, vibe, attitude. One of my all time favorite jazz records!

I went to his site to just see what the deal is with this guy, and apparently he has MDS or something? I guess it would be a good idea to check this guy out before it's too late. =P

Yeah, he has some life threatening disease. Not sure where it stands now but at least he has a lot of music recorded that will live on. Check out his record Tales from the Hudson - awesome. Has an outstanding line up - McCoy Tyner, Pat Metheny, Jack DeJohnette, Dave Holland...smokin'!
