This might be old news to some, but I just read a post on The Playlist from a while back by Marc Webb, the director of the upcoming movie "500 Days of Summer" starrng Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

The movie looks like a decent romcom with a really good soundtrack ("Nick and Norah" in their twenties?), but what really hooked me was the fact that The Playlist had been calling out Marc Webb and his movie up until then. In an ingenious move, Marc Webb simultaneously promoted the movie and rose above the fray by providing a detailed song-by-song commentary on the soundtrack to The Playlist. Checkmate. After consuming a lot of crow, The Playlist is now fully supporting the movie.

Just cuz Marc Webb is a badass (as one comment said), I'm gonna have to see this movie. Well played, Marc Webb. Well played.
