Artist:
Jets to Brazil sat at the top of my favorite list for a long time, and they still do. I don't know the story of JTB, so I won't pretend to write about it like so. What I do know is that they made three great albums, "Four-Cornered Night," "Orange Rhyming Dictionary," & "Perfecting Loneliness," the latter which I have come to feel is a part of me. I can get so caught up in the words of the writer. They are so expressive and often times shocking, it makes me come back for more. Jets to Brazil was signed on to Jade Tree records along with the likes of touring-mate Pedro the Lion. The late 90's college bar scene, of which I hardly know anything about, was the prime outlet for these two rockers, who made they're most successful releases a little prematurely, yet not gone unnoticed. I would definitely recommend "Perfecting Loneliness" to anyone who is looking for a good album to start with. It is rock n roll with many slow jams with the primary instrument of piano, electric, or acoustic guitar (basic rock-outfit). If you have never heard of this group, or maybe have but never gave them a listen, please check them out on iTunes. You will not be dissappointed guys.
