Radiohead Through Recording Albums?

This just came across my wire. Radiohead is announcing that full length albums are no longer in their future.I don't know about you, but I have a feeling they will be lauded for this, which will envigorate my anger after the flak Billy Corgan received for saying/doing the same thing. What do you think public reactions will be?

Electrified

Yesterday, for the first time in years, I rocked out. I mean, really rocked out.I organized a jam session for yesterday with a buddy from work a few weeks back. I was a bit nervous not only because I never really jammed with anyone outside of my close friends and that was years ago (and, I'll be honest, my good friends and I weren't very good back then), but also because I'm a nerdy unconfide...

Mog Me Baby!

I had better hop on this mogwagon before it leaves town (oh, wait, it left town months ago, and I never got around to posting this...), although I'm not sure if I'm popular enough on Mog to merit such a post.My name is Dana, I live somewhere near Rawkkiddo in frosty or overbearingly humid Minnesota, depending on the season (there's only two!). I should hope that I live and love music. I'm me...

Moggers' Music Resources

Fellow Socialbrowsers have shared numerous music related sites that I thought I would share with y'alls.First, we have We Are Hunted (via Mashable). This useful tool finds the 99 most popular songs of the day and even allows you to buy them. According to the article you'll be surprised by what you find. Top 40 hits are sparingly supplied. The Free Music Archive (via Read Write Web) offers fre...

No Doubt Returns With Complete Catalogue With Purchase of Tickets
9 months ago

As you may of heard, No Doubt is back and they coming in with style (and a new business tactic). Like the iPhone application I reported earlier for POTUSA, No Doubt is releasing their entire album catalogue digitally for the purchase of tickets to their summer concert. I love this idea! You can profit from those old albums that aren't likely to sell until an anniversary release and expose fa...

If you click here, you will be led to an article from Mashable.com about a new app for the iPhone that has entire albums from bands for a mere $3! There's a catch though:There's a small catch, but it's not a dealbreaker: the songs are free to listen as many times as you like, but you have to stream them from the application. If you want to actually own a copy of the MP3 file, you can buy it fr...

Ske

I stumbled upon an Icelandic band called Ske this morning. They have a poppy, warm, and all around good feeling sound. Check them out! Apparently the Mog tagger knows about them, so I just must be in the dark. Oh, and good morning!

Society's Ills (A Snippet from my blog)

I was listening to the KQRS Morning Show on my way to work one morning, and I noticed that the radio personalities like to blame poor parenting and poor schooling on why society is becoming less amiable. Tom Bernard, as I've heard him do a few times before, likes to blame hip-hop culture. I have this to say:I agree that poor parenting and poor schooling are major contributors to society's ills ...

Kill Hannah Still Murders

Kill Hannah and I go back - way back. I discovered them during a concert at a now none-existent venue (R.I.P. Quest) my girl and I went to back around '03. Switchfoot was our initial target, after hearing them on "A Walk To Remember's" soundtrack. Disclaimer: we aren't religious in any way (spritual, yes). We had our inklings that Switchfoot had an "affiliation", but we wanted to see them liv
