WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Personality or Is it Mog or mog?

Posted about 1 year ago
Hey moggers! It's been a while. So, before I try and give reviews on some ancient concerts from '07, I thought I'd write up a little something inspired from a forgotten mogger's conversation. I have about 30-some Mog newsletters that I've kept so I can add some comments here and there from conversations probably long forgotten and his/her comment is in there somewhere. See comments about self below.Someone had mentioned something about buying albums to only listen to their favorite songs. It was an argument about buying songs online versus albums to hear a band's all around sound, I think. He/she was a proponent for buying the album. He/she then made a comment about how most people listen to their favorites from an album and then pop the CD out. Man, I really wish I remember the comment, because it actually fits what I'm about to say a little better than I have done here. For me personally, my favorite bands are my favorite for a reason. I can listen to their entire collected works and I enjoy every single song. Some people probably find it a bit obsessive, but that's the truth. The comment also brought to mind a habit of most people of being able to listen to a song or album repeatedly in tandem. I've only been able to do this once. It was Limp Bizkit's "The Unquestionable Truth". *Long silence* We won't get into Limp Bizkit here, as I'm sure many of you just spasmed and cringed horribly. Otherwise, as soon as that CD is done, even if it was just released, I move on to other sounds. It's also why I think I've been able to listen to my favorite bands for years and never tire of them. And on that note, the poast is done...Okay...is M(m)og a proper noun? Let's decide. Why do I care? Because I'm a meticulous, anal retentive type. Cast your votes now!I also can't decide if I'm funny or obnoxious. The voting is closed on that one though....
