this needs to stop.

I need to stop listening to horrible songs such as this one. I think part of the appeal is that I never actually had to live through the time period in which this was cool and cutting edge. It reminds me of Gob (both my favorite Bluth and favorite illusionist) waving playing cards about and grinning maniacally whilst holding a knife between his teeth before his magic show. LOVE IT.

Other things that should stop:
-excessive consumption of sugar-free icepops
-buying tshirts with ridiculous slogans online (e.g., "A wizard has turned you into a whale. Is this awesome? (Y/N)" and "Hey, brother" - with a decidedly sinister image of Buster wielding his hook, natch!)
-cramming for ap psych exams

this list will be updated as necessary.

we both knew this had to happen.

I made this incrediby despondent mix for the first day of my junior year of high school. that actually made it sound way more monumental than in actuality; I am worryingly apathetic about high school culture. and yet, I still manage to retain a sick fascination with it all. I swear, that was not as big of a contradiction as it looks. The mix was compiled they day of, sitting in a miserably cold airport terminal, as I flew back from New York ridiculously early in the morning.

anyway.
it is on iTunes:
http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewIMix?id=191630824

if you are an imbecilic troglodyte and do not use iTunes, here is the playlist.

Haiti - The Arcade Fire
The Drinks We Drank Last Night - Azure Ray
Expectations - Belle & Sebastian
Sunrise, Sunset - Bright Eyes
The Bagman's Gambit - The Decemberists
Needle In The Hay - Elliott Smith
Communist Daughter - Neutral Milk Hotel
Ode To Divorce - Regina Spektor
Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley
Fast Car - Xiu Xiu

this is supposed to be landmark.

first mog post ahhhh. okay. I don't actually have anything to say. I just want to see if mog is better than last.fm. also, my last.fm got screwed up - Architecture in Helsinki ended up as my number two most-listened-to band and I do not even like Architecture in Helsinki that much, okay?

it's cold and raining and I guess the only good bit is that I can wear a big sweater tomorrow. that's offset by the fact that I am, however, going to school. I just want to lay around forever in a big mausoleum with giraffes everywhere and wear wedding dresses.

I could stop complaining, especially seeing as I just wrote a fairly self-aggrandizing essay on my character, in which positivity is incuded. end rant. goodnight, mog.
