For some reason I have a huge problem finding people to go to shows with at school. At home I have at least one friend who will see any concert with me...but at school it's like finding a needle in a haystack. I go to school in Boston, so I get some pretty good shows during the year. There are 3 in particular I want to see...but unfortunately I cannot find a soul to join. The 3 are Jamie Cullum, Keane, and The Raconteurs. If ANYONE lives in or goes to school in Boston and would like to go see those shows...let me know!!!! Ughhh!
So this summer my friend and I decide to go to the Jack's Mannequin show in Ft. Lauderdale because I was a fan of Something Corporate and this guy's new stuff wasn't half bad. I was all psyched to go because the last concert I had been to was The Strokes up in Boston so I figured I would have a kick ass time. Well, I was wrong. At the young age of 19 I felt old compared to the crowd that surrounded me. 14 year old girls were screaming at the bands about how 'hot' they were and I could hardly hear the music. Meanwhile, everyone around my age was busy getting drunk by the bar...so they probably didn't even realize they were even at a concert! What has the concert going life turned into??

I went to warped tour yesterday, and it was the exact same thing for The Academy Is... I felt so old being 19. There was like a freakin' 6 year old behind me, and I'm not joking.

What school do you go to in Boston? I went to UMass, had a tough time finding kids to go to shows as well.
