First things first. i just watched the most touching documentary called Nick Drake:Under Review. You could call me a Nick Drake devotee, but I think that the many people who admire his music tend to be freakishly devoted to both his music and memory. As for me, I can't bear to ever turn off a Nick Drake song before it ends. It just feels wrong somehow. I know, I know. But now for news...Keith Morris, a Drake photographer has what looks to be an amazing show called Parting Shots up in mid-September. So lucky for you devotees who live in the UK. Maybe it will travel? Also, a Fruit Trees boxed set that was painstakingly designed to mimic the original vinyl is set to be released in the States in December and Europe in November. sigh

It sounds familiar because you have fallen under the Nick Drake spell, Lak...you are now a Nick Drake devotee...ooooohhhhh.....seriously tho--it is gorgeous, one of my most treasured songs...so haunting, he collaborated on this one with John Cale.

CPete: are you in the UK? Or are you just hoping it comes to the States like I do.
Rawk: You are WELCOME! When I was watching that docu vid I kept hearing these staunch old school British musicians, who were like pillars of the folk, jazz, rock world of the 60s and 70s rattle off these names of artists I'd never heard of and I am trying to frantically google them!
