Charles Bronson is a fox! And dubs a mean harmonica!

Well, summer is officially over for me. School's starting and although I am really excited, the first days of school as an elementary art teacher can be likened to a Spaghetti Western (the best movie of all time!) without the less-than-stellar dubbing & bloody vengeance. Some of the territory is uncharted ( Kindergarteners) and some of it is wild (pre-pubescent 5th graders). But in the end we all decide to get along!

What is the movie-soundtrack of your life/work?

Great post, and it will be interesting to see what people post along with their professions! Also, did not know you were an art teacher, can I say that is my life long dream and I am envious on every account of you!

Impeccable taste in film. There is a great BBC documentary about Once Upon a Time.  I love  Ennio Morricone.

My theme for life is Black Flag "Nervous Breakdown".

Rawk, I tell ya, I am totally grateful that I have such a fun creative job--but I wish sometimes we "specialists" were treated a little more seriously by "the powers that be", so I appreciate your enthusiasm!

Lakposhti! My goodness! Stop havin' a breakdown! I love Ennio too. He makes that movie SO special, the music is like another character! I am going to check to see if I can find that BBC doc on the film! Thanks!

Wow. I wish it were longer. Henry Fonda's gaze...man he was a complete sociopath, huh? And the music! I didn't know that the whole thing was choreographed around it like a dang musical...but after seeing this doc-it's very clear that's why the music was so impactful. I forgot about ol' Jason Robards, he was adorable. All the good guys are gone. i didn't know Dario Argento was involved as well. I am big fan of his horror films. Thanks again Lak, that was a treat!

Yes, but the best one there was Jack Elam.  People my (our?) age probably best remember first seeing him as the kook doctor in "the Canonball Run".

jeez.....loaded question.  this may seem like a cop-out, but depending on when you ask, movies that might reflect periods of my life range from Basketball Diaries, Diner, and Rumblefish to Almost Famous, Spinal Tap and Pineapple Express.  These days i like to think it's more of a cool indie flick, but i'm too close to the content to be a fair judge.

on a sidebar, have you ever seen the Comic Strip's take on spaghetti westerns?  here's some YouTube links.  it starts slow with part one (as a true spaghetti western would), but then picks up quite abit starting with part two.

part one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGuU79DJAtk

part two: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6E737eTWcw&;feature=related

part three: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIS5tjwsUlE&;feature=related

part four: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7MpF3lh6sY&;feature=related

if you're a fan of British comedy you'll recognize some of these guys as "The Young Ones', a brilliant comedy troup.
