What an amazing life this man had and continues to have, absolutely harrowing and also truly inspiring. I believe the podcast was inspired by a new "documentary":http://minneapolisfuckingrocks.blogspot.com/2007/07/roky-erikson-documentary-screened-by.html out about Roky's life which is available on DVD. I intend on seeing it very soon. In the meantime, the podcast had clips of a "tribute album":http://www.discogs.com/release/450801 put out in the 90's that sounds amazing! That should tide me over till I see the doc. In the meantime, here's Roky in 1997. Keep in mind at that time he was living with untreated schizophrenia.
