TAKE OFF YOUR SOCKS LEST THEY BE KNOCKED

Blown to Smithereens and ate oysters!

Posted over 2 years ago
"The Smithereens":http://www.officialsmithereens.com/ came to CT and played the Milford Oyster Festival and basically rocked my socks off. I am so happy they are back out and about making new music and gracing us with their special brand of retro-roots-rock. Their energy and enthusiasm was contagious and the audience had a blast. I took some really, really bad photos with my camera... being so short (even wearing 3 inch platform sandals!) they came out so blurry and wavy I won't even try to post them. I was so happy... that the myriad Paris Hilton wannabes milling around didn't bug me even one little bit! Well...maybe a little.

  1. dermahrk says Sounds great. I love the Smithereens. So exactly where in CT was this festival? I'm asking because I'm currently on an assignment near Stamford and starting to search for music venues / music stores, etc.

  5. dermahrk says Connecticut is a state north of New York on the east coast. I think - geographically disadvantaged, here. Ongoingly, thank you for the links. I checked both out and they should prove useful. One of the clubs is even in Norwalk, where I am staying and working! So, what's the age of your students?

  7. ongoingly says Thanks GC! I really like living here-even with the brrrr winters! Dermahrk..you are probably more geographically astute than I am. you are correct about CT placement! Norwalk is a pretty hip-happening place and you should have fun poking around South Norwalk..there is a substantial nightlife there. My students(who will soon ascend upon me!) are tiny-Kindergarten thru 5th grade!
