WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

She Sells Sanctuary AND has better quads than I do

Posted over 2 years ago
So, truth be told, I am gymphobic. While I love being active, there is something about the gym that scares me. But being of a "certain age" <>I know it's important for me to keep the ol' bod in shape. And as a total book-nerd, I thought, hey--I can listen to books on tape whilst I work out! Cool! As you may know there is nothing like a good Agatha Christie mystery to get the whole adreneline system going....not. After a few months of wanting to get off the cross trainer after about 5 minutes, grab a cuppa tea and solve a murder, I thought, mightn't it be prudent to get some tunes in my ears to help bump up the motivation factor? And LO and behold...it works! Duh. I found that Cult's She Sells Sanctuary has the perfect beat and guitar riffs to get my whatchamacallic...heart rate up to the proper beatage. I need to get an ipod playlist together with the perfectly timed tunes that make you want to rock out, but not too hard or you might fly off the crosstrainer. What are your favorite songs to exercise to? (Or maybe you hate this post because you hate the idea of working out?)
