It's a new Year, 2007! And my resolution is to not make any resolutions. Why? Who keeps them??

New Camera

I ordered a Canon Powershot SD30 5MP Digital Elph Volitious Violet Digital Camera (that's it's name, really!) for my daughter for Christmas. It arrived in the mail today, and I couldn't help myself. I had to open the box just to take a peek. It's TINY! It's the opposite of ginormous! This thing is so small it comes with tools for handling the buttons. Yet, it has a huge LCD. Well, I don't know much more, because it isn't MY camera, and I couldn't take it out of the bubble wrap. It is safely hidden until Christmas. But, Amazon has so many more...

More random stuff I am not listening to

Which is not in my library, and I don't own it anywhere? This can't be MOG-wide top artists, can it??? If that is true, then my top four are the MOG's top four
Here is the top artists this week widget on my page:
R.E.M. - Fine, that's almost all I listen to.
Pet Shop Boys - Tied for third probably with DM below.
Depeche Mode - as above, but lower this week probably as a result of the new PSB album
They Might Be Giants - I gotta lotta TMBG, no problems here
New Order - Why they aren't higher is anyone's guess.
Cocteau Twins - dreamy, and belonging
Portishead - whoo. I love the little wikky-wikky turntable effects, and the beat, and the lyrics and the Portishead
The Smiths - Perennial favorite of mine. Girlfriend in a Coma, There is a Light, good stuff.
Ole Evenrude - This is NOT in my library
Alex Kid Feat. Lisette Alea - I have no idea who this is, not in my library, and not on my shelves.

So, my question now is this:
Is the tops artists this week widget particular to me? If so, it's wrong.
Or, is it MOG-wide, and am I one of like three people listening to music (or, does everyone here like 99% of the same music I do?)??

This place is weird.

What The?

Not sure what the deal is, but I've got a couple of bands in my top artists this week that I don't even have loaded in iTunes. Oddly, I DO have albums by these bands...

They are:
Ole Evenrude
Candan Erçetin

Weird! MOGOMATIC is psychic!

Mogging?

I'm not sure if "Mogging" is really what we're doing here. Or what it means to be "blazing". Or why I would want to trust another Mogger (Moggle? Moggie?), especially those Moggets that are just bands self-promoting. But really, I'm a hardcore member of (shhhh!) audioscrobbler and when I heard about Mog, I had to try it. It looks like it has potential. I'm not sure about the Mogomatic though. I like audioscrobbler's plugin. It takes my plays and posts them. The mogomatic seems to be indexing my entire collection, which is a little creepy, because there's stuff loaded on there that isn't music, and won't ever get played. Plus, the mogomatic is a preference pane (in Mac OS X), which I tend to avoid, because they lock up or act strangely sometimes. Well, also, I'm on a dialup connection, which means a continuous suck or send from the Mogomatic can be quite problematic...
Well, that's a lot of negativity, sorry, I'm still trying to get the hang of the different thing which Mog is. I'm not ready to quit it, which is a good sign...
