Well, there's a deeper reason. New Year Resolutions only last as long as the year is new. Instead, why not try to to all those things you want to do all year round? Don't start on January 1st. Start in September, when you think of something you want to do.

I agree Obi, if I want to do something, I'll do it. I don't feel the need to wait for an arbitrary date to start doing things. Then again, if it does give some people that extra push of motivation to do something they've been meaning to do, then it does have some value after all. :)
