Well, there's a deeper reason. New Year Resolutions only last as long as the year is new. Instead, why not try to to all those things you want to do all year round? Don't start on January 1st. Start in September, when you think of something you want to do. Make making yourself a better person a constant effort.
Good idea. Maybe I could take advantage of my skill for procrastination and pack'em all in on Dec. 31!
