Missy Higgins released her first album just as I was moving to Australia three years ago. The singer-songwriter from Melbourne was only 20 years old at the time and The Sound Of White instantly became one of my favorites. Her second album On A Clear Night just released in Australia a few days ago, and should be available as an import any day now.

Missy's new album, "On A Clear Night", retains the hallmarksof her earlier work - irresistible melodies and 'arrow through theheart' lyrics delivered by a voice that clearly means it. However, this time around the tracks benefit from the empatheticproduction of Mitchell Froom who helmed the first three Crowded Housealbums as well as works by other quality artists such as Ron Sexsmith,Elvis Costello, Paul McCartney and the Finn Brothers.
