Hello all, it is the eve of Christmas and I just got in from 3 days on the road. A trip that should have taken me a mere 16 hours took around 26 to complete. According to the news, the storms that I have been driving through on my way to my wifes hometown have been reponsible for 18 deaths. Disturbing, well yes but during my long hours on the road I listened to music, lots of music. Somewhere near a town called Hornepayne, Ontario this song came on and brought me right back to the 6th grade. I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas/Holiday break, and I beg you not to dance to this little number.

Hello Mog,

Although I said I would be gone, I received news today that turned my world upside down. After a full day of teaching I came home to the news of Christopher Pryor's passing and I felt I needed to say something.
Crash was one of the first people I met here on MOG, one of the first people to really talk to me about what I was writing and in turn take an interest in what was happening in my life. He was that kind of person, busy with a million different things yet able to make time for everyone who was in his life.
I had read a post by him, and he was talking about the band the Urban Dance Squad. This was almost a year ago, yet the exchange of words rings clear in my head even today. He had mentioned that he was unable to locate their cd in California, so I went out looking for it here in Minnesota. I found it, asked for his address and sent it out. From here our friendship moved from the boundaries of MOG to the regular world. We would often talk, and he was always someone I went to when it came to issues I was having in my life. Crash had a way with words, and was able to help me see what I should consider to be important in life.
I was excited to wish him a happy birthday, and excited for the new things that were happening in his life. This last week I noticed that I had not seem him online in quite some time. It made me worry, yet I knew someone like him always had something going and was probably just too busy. How I wish that were the case, how I wish he was still with us.
Its going to take some time for this to sink in, and those of you wondering just who this man was I invite you to take a look at his pages of writing to get a glimpse at just what made him so special.
http://mog.com/CrashPryor
You will be missed Crash, more than you might have believed when it comes to me. Always looking to bring out the best in people, you will be forever missed.
