The White Stripes at Madison Square Garden

During the course of my 7 year love affair with The White Stripes, I have converted two previous boyfriends to the side of the light by making them accompany me to White Stripes shows. They may have gone into the venue complaining about how much the band "sucks," but they left in a state of blissful awe and inspiration. Okay, maybe that is a bit of an exaggeration, but it did result in them totally digging the band.
All in all, it was a great show, as it always is when the White Stripes are involved. I absolutely loved the use of shadow projection rather than a TV screen, and Jack White, as usual, owned the stage with his superior performance skills.
That being said, however, it may have been the worst White Stripes show out of the three I have seen. One of the reasons why I like the band is the fact that they are so funny and weird, and those qualities did not really shine through. Say what you will, about "back to blues basics" or whatever, but seeing Jack White play with puppets was one of the highlights of my show-going life.
In conclusion, the puppets were greatly missed, and I am still in the dark as to whether or not Jack White is the most or the least attractive man in the world. This question has been a matter of debate amongst members of my inner circle for many years, and each subsequent show only serves to further confuse us on the true answer.
