This CD, conceptually, seems like a perfect way to vent my frustration with music & the music industry. People think "something new" (in a good sense...) has to be some loud new experiment. They can't just bask in the pleasure of a new MELODY(!). Of course, even the bold new EXPERIEMNTS that pass for "the greatest music" are rare, so we often have to settle for either psychedelic nut-jobs like.

It SEEMS, although I haven't deciphered the lyric sheet well enough, that #1F's cause for the melancholly and sadness that oozes through this CD is rather eye-roll-inducing, things like "why won't you have sex with me?" or...I don't know. I don't even know how I came to that conclusion or suspision, whatever, but regardless of WHY he's feeling what he's feeling, the feelings COME THROUGH VERY cle

I tend to think of life in kind of like a hiarchy (sp?), there are certain emotions/things/activities/etc., that are core, elemental, then there's a LOT of filler. Music, in my opinion, SHOULD be centered on the core elements of life, but instead artists tend to focus on superficial sonic experiments, sarcasm, and in some instances, just general noise.
