MOG MOG

BECAUSE THE WEB MOSTLY SUCKS

Is anyone else living the post show life? I didn't see anything in 2007 at all. In 2006 I saw just three shows. It seems like moving kinda far away from a metro area might be the final nail in the live music coffin, but even before that it seemed like something before that flipped in my head for live music being awesome and fun, to being mostly expensive and tiring (the last mostly because of the long drives involved.) Some of this is just like, getting out of college and having to go to work like a normal person. Anyone else finding a diminishing amount of concert going to be part of life?

Yes, especially the big-budget, prepackaged, is it live or is it memorex(?) spectacle. Especially over the hill, fat dumb happy _stars_ who are living exclusively off of twenty (or thirty or forty) year old "hits". >That having been said, a good club show gets my titties hard. Doesn't have to be no superstar, just honestly good enough to let the music play the crowd.

As I've gotten older, it takes me longer to 'recover' after a concert experience...so I mostly avoid shows that are on weeknights (work days) or schedule myself a vac day afterwards.

I've also noticed I'm more selective in the venues I will go to - I now prefer clean ladies room indoors to porta potties in the woods :)

I actually never got into the big rock show thing. I went to see Tool once for $50 and that was about it for that kinda stuff. I think another thing that started to get me was the amount of money I was spending on merch.
