My Baby Just Cares For Me

I think I read somewhere that Nina Simone is not all that happy with this song becoming her signature tune. She thinks it's too commercial or too "pop." It was recorded in the 1950's, but was used in a commercial and became a pop hit in the UK in the 1980's.

I can see why she might feel that way. After all, she has a large and highly sophisticated body of work to choose from.

Even so--sorry, Nina--it's still my favorite.
