  2. I am says nicki, your moniker "nerdlinger" takes on new meaning. I was 7 years old when this pic was taken. I don't know if you all remember how back in the day space news was a big thing in our class rooms. We had talks about how in 2010 we were supposed to be able to visit the moon like it was a drive to the beach.

  3. dermahrk says I'm among those fascinated by the exploration of other worlds and wish MORE of my tax dollars would be spent there. I'd be an astronaut but I'm too old, I don't drink and I'm not a psychotic stalker wearing diapers! ;)

  4. Lizziegreeneyes says 1 1/2 o're here... but I still remember it vividly - heh :) I also remember watching the Challenger launch at school - it didn't seem real when it exploded... the teachers were so proud that one of their sistren was going up into space... that was a horrible loss & a very sad day. *Mark:* I *_AM_* a psychotic stalker wearing diapers ;) So, where do you work ????? ;P

  5. fistula spume says That was a sad day when the Challenger exploded. I was in 4th grade. My entire gradeschool was sitting on the floor in the hallways facing TV's on those rolling stands. None of us really grasped what was going on and the teachers were freaking out. I feel looking back that a lot of kids across the country all had their first experience with death at that moment. On a happier note I find that diapers are more convenient all around. :)
