This is so very, very sweet. Hard for those of us who watched them all year to understand how anyone could have not have seen, going into the playoffs, that this was the most complete, hungriest team in baseball. The outcome just confirms it.

Spooky, brilliant. I could see that "Disguising yourself as a Crate" as a potential Halloween costume. ;-)

For a moment there, I thought you were opposed to archeology. But maybe we should say "no" to Crete digging. I mean, did the minotaur even exist?

I don't know what I enjoyed more over at the Onion's AV Club: sordid tales of the most awful concerts, or the bickering that followed over contributor Matthew Borlik. They are just so serious, aren't they?

My worst concert experience wasn't terrible, just terribly mediocre. It was the Dave Matthews Band at Hershey after the release of Crash. Of course mentally-vacant teens would mistake uninspired vamping for "jamming." Riiight. My friend and I agreed that we could have listened to the CD being piped through someone else's stereo, as we sat by the window of my second-floor apartment, and would have had a better time.

Yawn.

What are your nominations?

My worst ever was the train wreck that is Ryan Adams one night at the Historic State Theater.  He had gotten a bad review TWO DAYS EARLIER in Nashville or Memphis (or somewhere like that) and decided to take it out on a very enthusiastic Minneapolis audience by pouting, refusing to interact with the audience and leaving the stage promptly at 10 pm with no encore.

The saddest part is that one of my Top 5 concerts ever was the first time he played the 7th Street Entry in support of the Heartbreaker album.  It was 2 and a half hours of magic!  (sigh)

White Stripes not being able to produce their studio sound live and ending up making a boring set.

Dandy Warhols' singer destroys their live shows every time I see them, he is just not able to sing live.

Guillemots and Flaming Lips making just noise on stage.

But my worst one was when I saw Reamonn, a German rock band, that makes many ballads. Couples all around snogging and licking each other noisily, sighing, hugging, and leaning on each other. And there was no escape.

I had a similar experience with couples at a Ben Harper show of all things!  Half the room was stoned out of their minds and half was stinky hippies snogging!
