Cannibal Sea was one of my favorite albums last year; every song winds tight and releases in a joyful, slinky whir. When The Essex Green comes to town, buy new shoes, order a drink you can't pronounce. Go early and make friends with strangers, stay late and drive to the beach at dawn.When the Essex Green comes to town, it's spring, it's summer. It's daylight, all night long.

    JeffHot says Man, 'Don't Know Why (You Stay)' was easily, one of my favorite songs of last year. Cannibal Sea was pretty great, too. It seems that they skipped coming through Phoenix though, dammit! A lot of bands skip Phoenix.
