Lately, the talk has been about some of the newest hip-hop losing its roots (I'm talking about you Soulja Boy) of soul and funk.
The discussion was spark off after running across Naughty By Nature's classic track O.P.P (if you want to know what that means check out "urban dictionary":http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=OPP ). Naughty By Nature samples a motown classic (ABC by the Jackson 5).
ABC is also used in a dance sequence in the movie "Clerks 2".
