MOG MOG

BECAUSE THE WEB MOSTLY SUCKS

so i've always been a fan of JF, but i've only recently been exploring his earlier albums. I've found this really fulfilling because these songs seem much more profound and interesting, especially since i know what was going on in his life during that time as well. sometimes his singing can be off-key, especially in the album "smile from the streets you hold", but he was very deep into drugs at that time and i believe that gives his songs more depth. it's interesting to see what was going through his head during that time as well as through his music. songs like "the big takeover", "mascara" and "curtains" are really interesting to listen to. (don't get me wrong, i love his later stuff like "shadows collide with people" and "the will to death"). anyways, this is my first post on MOG, so i'm pretty into this site right now. i'm gonna go check out what else is on here, peace

Ah. John rocks. Never got into Niandra though. Inside of Emptiness is my favourite - it has a real joy about it.

I also like listening to Niandra Lades and Smile from the Streets you hold, i think it's interesting to hear the pain in his voice...a few of my friends don't like those albums because they can relate to his addictions, but i think that it's real and painful and still gives hope and happiness...all at the same time.
