did you know that anthony had to fight to keep "californication" from being cut from the album during it's creation? it's a good thing he won :) he's also lost a bunch of songs that wanted to keep, including "quixotic elixir", which is a really good song ....but i'm not sure which album it would've been off of...
just an interesting fact... :P

One thing about labels ... they have the need to take control of everything.
The labels spend the bucks for recording time, people, the sponsorship of equipment, video productions, sound production, travel, venues, promotion, distribution, etc. Things Independents have to acquire, and pay for on their own.
Label artists are not as free to do as they please as one would think !!
They are constantly under pressure to "conform" to the labels ideas of what mainstream music "should be" ... Fame and fortune, is it worth the price ??
Of course one could stay Independent and sell there soul to the Internet for a little notoriety ... speaking of check my page and grab some free mp3's if you like what you hear :))

a lot of people say that Matt isn't a good guitarist, but nowadays it takes songwriting skills as opposed to "shredding" skills. these guys look amazing live, does anyone know if they have any american tours coming up or anything?
