MOG MOG

BECAUSE THE WEB MOSTLY SUCKS

Oh MOG, it's been too long.

Hemingway, regarding the new Martha Wainwright album.  I really, really, really like it.  The problem is, I like the first two songs SO much, I don't usually make it past them.  That is a problem to be sure.

"Bleeding All Over You" - in a way reminds me of Rufus' "Greek Song", but I'm not sure why.  Persnaps it is the beat.  No, actually, I just listened to "Greek Song" and they are not as similar as I thought.  Anyway, it still reminds me of it, okay?

Back to "Bleeding All Over You".  For about 5 seconds I was sure I did not like the beat, but then, just as quickly, I fell in love with this song.  I think it's a terrific song - great subject.  My fave rave of the song, however, is the bass.  You know before she sings "My heart was made for bleeding all over you" for the second time and the bass goes higher for a few notes?  YOU KNOW.  That is my favourite part of the song.

"You Cheated Me" - oddly enough, when I downloaded the single months (I think) ago, I liked it, but it didn't really resonate with me.  But oooooooh, the chorus, I LOVE.  Unpredictable.  I LOVE her voice, "You left the keys in the door when you left that night....".  BUT, best part, "To see the whole damn thing unfolllllllllllllllllllllld" - whoa.  I would probably marry Martha Wainwright, if she asked me.  I hope my husband wouldn't mind...

I have to make a real effort to move forward into this album.  I WILL, okay?  ALSO, "Jesus and Mary" - nobody could EVER say they could predict the way the chorus would go - it's awesome.

That is all for now.  For about 20 seconds.
