I love Christmas. I love the green, the food, and the songs. Especially the songs. My all-time favorite being 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas'. Death Cab for Cutie's music kinda reminds me of Christmas. What an interesting thought to have Ben cover it.

Welcome to my MOG, whatever that word means. I just got in, and I'm confused again, as always with a new thing; and I can feel the loss of interest slowly creeping in, as always with every new thing I start, or find myself buried in - slowly creeping in like Arcade Fire that never sounded good on headphones, but does today in this noisy sala. Today is probably Arcade Fire day. I think I finally like their music - Arcade Fire. Or am I just hurrying up to play with this new toy? Or is it tired feet I never used today at work? Or life's limelight? Or the aftertaste of tocino I ate unenthusiastically infront of my wife and daughter? Or not knowing what to do later? Or the blinking cursor, and yes, not knowing what to do later? Or the redundancy and noise of the question marks?

It's probably all of those...

I think Arcade Fire is just one of those bands...because I never used to like them. In fact, I had no interest in listening to them...at all. One day though, the acoustic version of "Intervention" came up in a friend's Itunes shuffle and everything came together and synced up. It all made sense.
This religious-music discovery sequence happens a lot.
Also, good luck with that thing, it looks like a bitch with infrared sensors.
Funny when you said 'religious-music discovery sequence' because that's exactly/inexactly how I began to like their music. I was looking for new music, and 'Funeral' has been sleeping in my iPod for close to a year, and I haven't sat through a whole song because their music just didn't register. One day, suddenly I played a random track, and I didnt realize that the CD was almost done without me complaining. I'm at work now and I can't wait to go home and head to my headphones and find out if it was a fluke, desperation, or genius.
