When we went to Venice we stayed in the small town, 45 minutes away, called Mira. We had to take this bus from Mira to Venice. And on the way to combat my motion sickness I would play James latest Hey Ma. Hey Ma will always be the soundtrack from my journey to Venice.
When we got home, I heard that James was playing an acoustic set on KCRW. "I wanna go home" displays the amazing vocal stylings of Tim Booth. Listen towards the end of the song as he holds this note for over a minute. Amazing! It reminds me of the live version of Ring The Bells (live) {mp3} where he holds this high note forever. I tried to emulate his voice and I've failed every time.
Booth, to me, is one of the most underrated singer/songwriters from the UK.
