A few nights back we were watching an old episode of The Office, the one where the temp stars a fire and the whole staff has to wait outside for the firefighters to put out the flames. While they're waiting Jim asks his co-workers their top five desert island DVD's. This inspired Michelle and I to try to come up with our own lists.
I have to admit I used to loathe coming up with these lists. Just trying to single out five movies or albums that you would listen to on an island would aggravate me. That was then. Now I'm more open to lists. Maybe it was that a sign of immaturity. Who knows?
Last night at work, I finished my list. So here are my top five desert island DVD's.
5. Ferris Bueller's Day Off
4. School of Rock
3. Raiders of the Lost Ark
2. Almost Famous
and...drum roll please
1. Pulp Fiction
What are yr top 5 desert island dvd's?

...head...imploding.....
Sorry, this is even more difficult than picking 5 albums. I'm just immature like that ;)
I was the immature one, silly.
It is hard believe me. Maybe I'm just getting older and the older I get the more I know what I really love and dislike.
Just share one, think of one not neccessarily the best but one movie you would pick?
Hmmmm... at this moment and time my list would read:
I know you didn't ask, but hey I'm suddenly in the list mood. Desert island CDs:
williy wonka, happy gilmore, apocolypto, the shining, and yeah prob. ferris bueller
Anna - Just be as impulsive as you can. Think of it as "I have 5 minutes to grab 5 DVDs before I'm dragged off to a desert island" that should make it a little easier. I know if you asked me tomorrow (or even in an hour) the list would change. Minus Fight Club. That movie rocks the cazbah.
Now, I'm assuming this desert island has power and a DVD player. If I can only sit and stare at the pretty packaging imagining how cool it would be to watch the DVD, then that would be a complete different list ;)
ermmmmm argggggggggggg
How about I grab one from different places round the world?
Seven (USA), The City of Lost Children (France), Oldboy (South Korea), Wings of Desire (Germany), Mama Roma (Italy), Pan's Labyrinth (Mexico), Kika (Spain), In The Mood For Love (China), Peeping Tom (UK).
Yes, I can count. I think....oh look, my ears are bleeding!
Good choices especially Seven and City of Lost Children. I actually saw City of Lost Children on opening day and I was the only one in the whole theater. It was awesome!
Man, I am so mainstrem; I've only seen two of your picks. Seven is a great movie, and almost made my list as well. If I could only do movie DVDs rather than TV Season DVD's I would probably swap Arrested Development for it.
Who are you kidding? Robots don't bleed!
