One of my the best Doors covers, this beautiful rendition of Crystal Ship is a live version that begins with Patti Smith chastising the audience for not finding a topic to talk about. This is pure Patti Smith, never shy of controversy nor afraid of stirring up a crowd. Listen to way, in her timeless voice, she delivers Jim Morrison's lyrics is so pure and sweet like a post modern lullaby. I love this version.
