True Blood had another impressive soundtrack last night. The thing I love about the way series creator and Executive Producer Alan Ball adds music to the show is very subtlely. There were two instances in which songs were played in the background as not to overpower the scenes. The first was in the beginning when Bill had The Watson Twins cover of Just Like Heaven as he and Sookie sat talking in the bath.The second was when Sookie's brother had taken home that girl from the Vampire bar. She played Cowboy Junkies cover of Sweet Jane.
The soundtrack from True Blood is going to be incredible. I can't wait to see what songs they're going to put on it. If Six Feet Under's is any indication than it's going to rock.

I didnt read most of this post because I JUST watched the first episode of true blood and i'm trying to catch up.
But I just wanted to say this show is great.
My friends are ALL obsessed with the show but I have yet to get into it. I liked what I heard of the Watson Twins on Jenny Lewis's first solo record, but I have yet to hear more.
