I was pondering my favorite covers of Beatles songs and there's not too many. One of my favorites has to be this live and acoustic version of Elliott singing Long Long Long, one of the ultimate songs from the White Album. Listen to how honest and pure his vocal as he hits those high notes. He sounds so emotional it's as if he's living George Harrison's lyrics while performing the song at the Henry Fonda Theater.
Listen to Elliott's on stage banter with the crowd. He sounds so shy and fragile in between the songs.
I could hear his cover all night long. There's nothing like listening to Elliott sing with only his acoustic guitar past midnight. The perfect soundtrack to the end of the night.
