"Leonard Cohen is so utterly generous to the women he's loved, and it's so beautiful. He lays them bare and exposes their vulnerabilities but he exposes his own too. And he's definitely not miserable - he's a liver, he lives.
He has a take on life that would do us well to listen to now; he's wry and observant and he's sitting there watching it all go on, he's looking for conclusions and he's got a good soul."- Beth Orton on the reasons she and the rest of us adore the music and the man that is Leonard Cohen.
Now watch her beautiful rendition of "Sisters of Mercy" from the incredible documentary that every music fan must experience, Leonard Cohen: I'm Yr Man.

Leonard Cohen's talent is self-evident. His songs are exquisite mix of fragility, vulnerability, brokenness and tenderness.
It was great to watch this tribute with the likes of Antony Hegarty and Beth Orton making his songs really stand out with a loyal sense of conviction.
what a lovely idea! she looks so serene and sweet in that photo...
